The letter stele 'ALWAYS', combining poetry, visual art, installation and performance as a piece of art in the public sphere. ALWAYS was awarded best installation of the year on Copenhagen public fences. Continuously challenging the literary and politically correct, in the spring of 2014 the artist published a collection of new danish limericks. The publication led to leading danish newspaper Politiken launching a month long literary competition, spurring a record number of readers to write their own limericks.
Internationally Claus Ankersen has performed, worked and exhibited in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Estonia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Holland, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Armenia, India and the USA, done readings at various literature- and art festivals, and guest lectured on performance poetry and poetics at various universities and academic conferences.
